There are many creation myths in the Roman and Greek world. However, the most popular of those creation myths starts with Chaos, the creator of all things, who produced Gaia (Earth). Gaia then produced Ouranos (Heavens). Both Gaia and Ouranos had many other offspring known as the Titans. In all, there were twelve Titans in the first generation. Six of these Titans were male, and the other six were female. The second generation consisted of Eos (Dawn), Helios (Sun), and Selene (Moon), among others. Eventually, these gods and goddesses mated with each other to produce multiple gods and goddesses.
